The HRRMC Buena Vista Health Center (BVHC) is a full-service rural health clinic dedicated to providing exceptional and personalized care to the residents of northern Chaffee County. Patients can call to schedule an appointment with their primary care provider.

The walk-in clinic treats minor medical issues. We strive to see patients on a first-come, first-served basis, but ask for your patience as we do prioritize patients with more urgent medical needs.

HRRMC also has a weekly Orthopedics walk-in clinic on Thursdays during normal walk-in clinic hours. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Ramon Perez sees patients on a first-come, first-served basis.

BVHC Expansion Project

2020 has seen exciting new changes at the BVHC campus. Our 10,000 sq. ft. expansion project has been developing from the ground up with an expected completion date in winter 2020. The welcoming new facility will comfortably house expanded services in cardiac rehabilitation, imaging, and lab in addition to Solvista Health's Behavioral Health Center.

Construction progress on the BVHC expansion project

Once construction is complete, all offices will be moved into the new facility and the phase II renovation will begin on the old clinic.

Stay tuned for updates on this new HRRMC addition.

The clinic is currently undergoing an expansion to accommodate the additional services and providers we have added. The construction began in December 2019, and is slated to be completed in fall 2020. To view the expansion plans, click here.

The Walk-in Clinic charges the same fees as the HRRMC Buena Vista Health Center charges during their normal business hours. The Buena Vista Health Center participates in Medicare and Health First Colorado (Medicaid). It is also a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) and Colorado Health Service Corps (CHSC) site.

As an NHSC and CHSC site, the clinic offers a sliding-fee payment scale for self-pay and uninsured patients based on income and family size. It is the policy of the HRRMC Buena Vista Health Center to provide essential services regardless of a patient's ability to pay. For more information about the sliding-fee payment scale and to download an application, click on the links below.

HRRMC has expanded its Direct Access Testing (DAT) program to the Buena Vista Health Center. Patients are able to order lab tests from a set menu of tests at discounted prices without a doctor's order. No appointment is necessary. Patients should register at the front desk. Cash, check or credit card payment is due at the time of service. Your insurance will not be billed. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Test results will be mailed to patients. It is your responsibility to share results with your medical provider. Click here to download our DAT brochure.
