COVID-19 TESTING INFORMATION
We are currently offering outpatient testing through our Emergency Department. In order to be eligible for testing in this manner, you must FIRST visit your primary care physician, who orders a COVID-19 test on your behalf.
Based on Chaffee County Public Health's current turnaround times, testing results take approximately 2-5 days.
Once you have an order for a COVID test, please follow these directions:
1. Please drive to the HRRMC Emergency Department parking lot (located at 1000 Rush Drive, on the right side of the hospital when you arrive through the main entrance).
2. Please park your vehicle in the ED parking lot, and call (719) 530-2250. Testing occurs in your vehicle, so please do not enter the building at any time. When you call, let the registration team know you are here for a COVID test, and give them the make, model and color of your vehicle.
3. Please wait in your vehicle, and a member of our ED medical team will come out to perform the test.
4. Testing occurs Monday - Friday, 8-10 a.m. and 3-4 p.m. Please ensure you are in the ED parking lot during this time, or you will not be tested in a timely manner.
