Patient guests at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center

During the COVID-19 pandemic, general visiting hours at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, while there is an entrance attendant present. However, we have additional restrictions and guidelines for visitors to follow, outlined below.

Weekdays, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., inpatient units: One visitor per patient is allowed at any given time during visiting hours. Visitors must enter through the main hospital entrance and be verbally screened for COVID-19 symptoms and their temperature taken prior to their visit. Visitors can stay as long as they have been screened prior to 5 p.m. We ask that visitors stay masked at all times when in patient rooms.

Weekdays after 5 p.m.: Visitors are not allowed, as the front entrance will be locked during this time.

Weekends, inpatient units: One visitor per patient is allowed. Visitors must enter through the Emergency Department, as the front entrance will be locked during that time. Upon entering the building, visitors will be verbally screened and their temperature taken by registration staff and next steps will be directed by the nurse supervisor.

Emergency Department: One visitor is allowed per patient at all times, but visitor must be screened and wear a face mask or covering at all times once they enter the ED.

Parents whose child is an inpatient are encouraged to stay overnight with their child and are not restricted to normal visiting hours.

Please note the special department circumstances below:

  • Intensive Critical Care Unit (ICU): Because patient-care conditions in the ICU sometimes change, ICU visiting hours must be at the discretion of the nursing staff. Please call the ICU directly prior to your visit to check on the status of the patient and when you can come visit.
  • Family Birthing Center: We are currently allowing one family member per patient giving birth, as well as one birthing support person, such as a doula. The one visitor per patient per day guideline also pertains to Family Birthing Center. Please call the Family Birthing Center directly for questions and more information if needed.
  • Surgery: One visitor per patient is allowed at this time.
  • Dialysis and Infusion: One visitor per patient is allowed at this time.

HRRMC's cafeteria provides three meals every day to patients and visitors under normal operating circumstances. However, the Cafe is currently operating under limited capacity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All visiting patients (labs or bloodwork, imaging services, rehabilitation appointments, clinic appointments) are asked to use the Cafe in a to-go or takeout capacity. The dining areas of the Cafe will be restricted to employee use only.

Meals are served to patients beginning at the following times:

  • Breakfast 7:45 a.m.
  • Lunch 11:45 a.m.
  • Dinner 4:45 p.m.

If a patient needs a meal at a different time, please let your nurse know. We discourage bringing food in for patients because they may require specialized diets.

Hospital Cafe Hours:

  • Breakfast 8 - 9:30 a.m.
  • Lunch 12 - 1:30 p.m.
  • Dinner 5 - 6 p.m.

Beverages are available all day in the Cafe.
