HRRMC now offering Robotic-Assisted Total Knee Replacements through the ROSA Knee System

SALIDA, Colo.– HRRMC Orthopedic surgeons Dr. Steven Jones, D.O., and Dr. Ramon Perez, D.O., will now be performing total knee replacements via robotic-assisted surgery with the ROSA Knee system.

The ROSA Knee offers improved accuracy and implant positioning, raising the standard of knee care and allowing for faster recovery times compared to standard knee surgeries.1-3 Patients also see earlier improvements in range of motion and function, as well as improved pain and function six-month post-surgery. 4-6 Robotic-assisted surgery combines advanced robotic technology with surgical expertise, offering enhanced precision, flexibility, and control compared to traditional techniques.

“We’re excited to standardize orthopedic knee care for our patients with the robotic assistance of the ROSA Knee,” said Dr. Perez.

HRRMC’s surgical and orthopedics teams went through rigorous training and will be performing their first ROSA Knee robotic-assisted surgeries on Monday, Oct. 26.

“The ROSA Knee allows us to elevate the entire experience for our patients. We understand that knee replacements can be intimidating, and a complex process to go through,” said Dr. Jones. “We are looking forward to helping our patients return to their lifestyles more quickly.”

The knee replacement process involves a comprehensive team of specialists – from rehabilitation and imaging to clinic and surgical teams – and patients are carefully guided through the process with a clinical nurse navigator. This thorough preparation ensures the patient is ready and well taken care of at all steps of their joint replacement journey.
