How to Get Started
An order from a physician is required for most services - you can contact your oncologist or primary care physician.
If you need help navigating this or are not sure what services would be best, you may contact an oncology rehab therapist at 719-530-2392 and ask to speak with Lisa.
How Rehab Can Help
Oncology Rehabilitation can be beneficial for patients with cancer before, during, or after cancer treatments. At HRRMC, we offer one-on-one evaluation and collaborative development of a treatment program in coordination with your physician and care team to improve your quality of life as it relates to difficulties from cancer and subsequent treatment. We can work towards improving problems such as: fatigue, neuropathy, lymphedema, difficulty with urinary or bowel function, pelvic pain or pelvic muscle changes, speech and language difficulties, brain fog, swallowing or voice changes, balance and mobility, and scar tissue management.
-
Prehabilitation, or rehab services offered before cancer treatments begin, is important in order to help you prepare for treatments and potentially be able to tolerate treatment better.
