HRRMC welcomes Dermatologist Martin Harris, M.D. to medical staff

SALIDA, Colo.—Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) is thrilled to welcome board-certified Dermatologist Martin Harris, M.D., to HRRMC’s medical staff.

Dr. Harris sees patients full-time at the HRRMC Antero Pavilion, located at 910 Rush Drive, adjacent to HRRMC’s main campus in Salida. Dr. Harris is currently accepting new patients.

“Chaffee County sits at a high elevation and experiences an abundance of sunshine. That combination can lead to an increased incidence of skin-related issues,” explained HRRMC Vice President of Provider Services Heather Roberts. “We feel grateful to have Dr. Harris join our busy dermatology clinic to help treat patients, and assist in drastically reducing appointment wait times.”

Dr. Harris’ love for dermatology stems from the all-encompassing nature of the specialty. It allows the ability to work with the patient from diagnosis, to treatment, to the best outcome towards a cure to their medical condition. Dr. Harris’ goal is to provide friendly, high-quality, compassionate care to members of the community.

Dr. Harris served on Active Duty in the Army in a variety of roles, both stateside and overseas. While in the Army, Dr. Harris earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. He then completed his internship and dermatology residency at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, also in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Harris enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. When not enjoying the great outdoors with his family, he can be found courtside, mat-side, or on the sideline of one of his children’s sporting events.
