The 2022 Jewel Ball

Our 16th Annual Jewel Ball will be in person for the first time since 2019. This year’s event is on Saturday, October 29 at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort. We are excited to host the event again and were surprised that once we confirmed our plans, all 17 tables were purchased by past sponsors. Not all sponsors will fill their tables, so we have started a waiting list for tickets, which are $125 each this year. To be placed on a waiting list for one or two tickets, please email us.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, at the time we made our decision we chose a location that could best support the projected attendance numbers. Over the years, we have celebrated the Jewel Ball at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds and are grateful for their support. We now look forward to our new location with new opportunities. The location is stunning and the menu is wonderful.

Past participation allowed for nearly 400 attendees and over 45 tables with eight seats per table. This year, we will have a maximum of 200 attendees and 17 tables with 12 seats per table. “It’s a different setup and our committee has put a great deal of thought into how to navigate these changes while maintaining the elegance and excitement of the evening,” explained Tangie Granzella, Jewel Ball Chair.

We are grateful to our sponsors, which include: The Picie Hylton Charitable Fund, High Country Bank, Heart of the Rockies Radio Group, Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort, First Colorado Land Office, Butala Sand and Gravel, Dr. Karen Johnson/HRRMC General Surgery, Collegiate Peaks Bank, BV Friends & Comfurt Gas, Mariposa Window & Door, Dr. Kenneth Wool/HRRMC Cardiology Services, David & Cathy Wood, Dr. Harry and Debra Payton, Dan & Betsey Downing and Connie Forster, Forvis, Dr. Dan Wardrop/Heart of the Rockies Radiology, Comprehensive Medical Weight Loss/Blue Crown Labs and First Street Family Health.

There will be a dynamic auction this year, both silent and live. Auction items include Denver Broncos tickets, Colorado Avalanche tickets, golfing and great getaways. Proceeds from the evening will go to the Picie Hylton Charitable Fund, the operational fund for an overnight Hospitality House for HRRMC patients receiving treatment, who live 30 or more miles from Salida. The Hospitality House is to be built on HRRMC’s main campus beginning in 2023.

We realize this is different from previous years and share your disappointment that not everyone can attend in 2022. Please call Lezlie at (719) 530-2218 if you would like to be placed on the waiting list for tickets that may become available. If you would still like to donate, you may do so here.
