HRRMC to offer COVID-19 community vaccination clinic for 70 and older population

SALIDA, Colo. – On Friday, Jan.29, Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) will be hosting a COVID-19 community vaccination clinic. The clinic will take place from 9-11 a.m. and will be located on the hospital campus, at 1000 Rush Drive in Salida. An online scheduler is available for eligible community members and Colorado residents to schedule an appointment at: https://hrrmcvaccines.rsvpify.com/.

This vaccination clinic will be available to Colorado residents in the Phase 1B category that are 70 years of age and older, set forth by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). HRRMC cannot accept walk-ins or community members who do not fall into this phase at this time. Schedules will be monitored and appointments cancelled if they do not meet the Phase 1B 70 and older guideline. The 70 and older population is encouraged to attend as HRRMC supports Chaffee County Public Health’s efforts to vaccinate 70% of this population in order to move to vaccinating the next phase of Coloradans.

HRRMC emphasizes that community members please sign up for a specific time slot utilizing the online scheduler at https://hrrmcvaccines.rsvpify.com/. For anyone who has challenges with the online scheduler, a phone number is available for troubleshooting issues at (719) 530-2479.

Consent forms are required for vaccinations, and can be found on the online scheduler, included on confirmation e-mails each person who signs up receives, as well as on HRRMC’s COVID-19 website: https://www.hrrmc.com/covid-19-updates/covid-19-vaccine/. For those who cannot print forms, these will be available at the main entrance of the hospital prior to Friday. HRRMC asks that anyone who signs up please come prepared with your paperwork completed to ensure vehicle traffic is minimized.

Vaccinations will take place completely within each person’s vehicle. Vehicles must enter at the intersection of Highway 291 and County Road 154. After turning onto CR 154, vehicles will turn left onto Rush Drive. Checkpoints will be set up on the road to direct vehicles through the vaccination process.
