SALIDA, Colo.—Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Steven Jones has joined the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) Orthopedics department full time, and will practice at the HRRMC Outpatient Pavilion in Salida. Dr. Jones specializes in joint replacements.
“Dr. Jones has been on our staff as a part-time provider since 2017, and we are fortunate to have him bring his talent and expertise to our staff, patients and community full time moving forward,” said HRRMC CEO Robert Morasko.
Dr. Jones is fellowship-trained in Adult Reconstruction, which includes exposure to hip and knee arthroplasty; osteotomy and arthroscopy of the hip and knee; and a variety of additional adult reconstructive surgical procedures. He joins fellow orthopedic surgeons Robert Hunter, M.D. and Ramon Perez, D.O., to offer comprehensive patient care in orthopedics, also working closely with the interventional pain, neurosurgery and rehabilitation departments to ensure specialized, complete patient care in one location.
Prior to joining HRRMC, Dr. Jones practiced Orthopedic Surgery with Presbyterian Medical Group in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Dr. Jones earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and his Adult Reconstruction fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
