The students collected the toys from their community through Kuddlez for Kidz, a program which provides hospitalized children with stuffed animals and other comforting items. Kuddlez for Kidz was founded by a Denver teen named Rylie who was diagnosed at age 7 with a disease that required many hospital visits. She found that having a stuffed animal made the tough appointments a little easier.
