First established in 2018, the HRRMC Cancer Walk brings community members together, through their shared experiences with cancer. The proceeds will go towards supporting HRRMC cancer patients.

On April 27, day-of registration will open at 8 a.m. and the walk will begin at 9 a.m., outside of the Outpatient Pavilion on HRRMC’s main campus at 1000 Rush Drive in Salida.

Volunteer and help make the 2024 Bake Sale and Cancer Walk a success!

The Foundation needs many volunteers both before the event and the day of the event.

Prior to the event we need volunteers to do the following: set signs on hiking trails in each community; send signs and flyers to each HRRMC Clinic with instructions of where to place them and who to return signs to after the Walk; Bake Sale (4/17) we need help with promotion, bakers and sellers; and to distribute flyers to various places in each community.

Day of the Walk we need volunteers to do the following: Table set-up (registration, SWAG, coffee and burritos); set-up day of signs; registrants (laptop and phones, get day of counts, report to on-site media); walkers to lead the flat path, up-hill path, stop and give directions/sweep, HRRMC entrance, hill by golf course, opening to HRRMC paths, and end of path near Frantz Lake to direct to HRRMC paths or double back; and finally tear down of tables, table cloths, A/V, collect garbage and gather all signs.

With your help, this event will be a success and raise funds for our HRRMC cancer patients.
