Cancer Walk

The 2025 Annual Cancer Walk was on Saturday, May 3rd.

Thank you Chaffee County for another successful Cancer Walk! We had 212 registrants (70 more than last year), including 35 cancer survivors. Together, we raised more than $13,000 to support HRRMC cancer patients with wellness programs, wigs, blood pressure cuffs, and other needed supplies during their treatment.

We appreciate everyone who contributed through sponsorships, donations, participation, and volunteering! A special thank you to Heart of the Rockies Radio Group’s sponsorship that included a wonderful social media promotion created by Ximena! Thank you to this year’s thoughtful sponsors who helped cover costs of the event: High Country Bank, Performance Tours Rafting, Agile Rehabilitation Services, Collegiate Peaks Bank, Colorado Mountain Solar, HRRMC Auxiliary, Topo Coffee, Veer Graphics, Xi Epsilon Delta, Hi Valley Supply, Thriving Lotus Healing, 7,000 Feet Running Company, the Carillot Family, Dr. Dan Wardrop, HRRMC Dermatology Clinic, Sangre de Cristo Electric Association, Natural Grocers, and Gone to the Dogs. We also appreciate all of our bakers and buyers from our Cancer Walk Bake sale at HRRMC on April 2. Thank you to Chloe and Clara for our Kids’ Craft Corner! We appreciate the Mountain Mail’s coverage of the event. Every contribution makes a difference!
