Family Medicine Physician, OB optional (full-time)

HRRMC is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician to join our dedicated and collegial primary care team in beautiful Salida, Colorado. This position offer flexibility and work-life balance in a supportive, mission-driven environment serving our rural mountain community.

  • 3-day work week (36 clinical hours)
  • 4-day work week (40 clinical hours)

Both schedules are full-time and eligible for full benefits.

  • Outpatient primary care in a modern, well-equipped rural health clinic with full day walk-in-clinic
  • OB practice optional: Candidates may choose to include obstetrics or focus exclusively on non-OB family medicine

Family Medicine Physician with Surgical Obstetrics (full-time)

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Medicine Physician with Surgical Obstetrics training to join our well-established and busy Family Medicine clinic in Salida, Colorado. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position where you will be providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and obstetrics patients.

As part of a dynamic healthcare team, you will be working in a busy, thriving practice with a range of patient needs. Our Family Medicine clinic offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community, while having a balanced and fulfilling professional life. Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose & Throat) (full or part-time)

This is an exceptional opportunity to build and practice broad-spectrum Otolaryngology in a welcoming, high-trust environment at a 25-bed critical access hospital in the heart of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Neurologist (full-time)

This is an excellent opportunity for a full-time general neurologist to work in an outpatient setting, treating a diverse patient population with neurological disorders. You will have the opportunity to diagnose and manage a wide range of neurological conditions while maintaining a strong work-life balance. There are no call requirements for this position, allowing you to focus on patient care during regular office hours.

  • Diagnose and treat various neurological conditions, including headaches, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, MS and other disorders.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients.
  • Conduct outpatient consultations, follow-up appointments and treatment plans.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding neurological conditions and treatment options.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate patient records in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
  • Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program.
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.

    Oncologist/Hematologist (full-time)

    Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Oncologist/Hematologist (BC/BE) to join our busy Oncology clinic in Salida, Colorado.

    The ideal candidate has a special interest in providing full-spectrum oncology/hematology services in a rural mountain community. This position will work in partnership with an existing part-time Oncologist and an experienced, full-time Oncology Physician Assistant, in addition to a robust infusion center, located next to the oncology clinic. Office space and examination rooms are provided at our hospital-owned, multi-specialty clinic. Average monthly visits can be between 100-180. This role will also be involved with our Tumor Board.

    Ear, Nose & Throat Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (part-time, no call or weekends)

    HRRMC is seeking a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Otolaryngology (ENT) team. Be part of a progressive, independent, critical access hospital serving central Colorado. This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside a board-certified ENT specialist in a growing outpatient practice located in our state-of-the-art Outpatient Pavilion.

    This role involves direct patient care, clinical procedures, pre- and post-operative support, and collaboration across HRRMC's integrated network of primary and specialty care providers. This position will be 30-hours per week.

    • Provide comprehensive outpatient care to patients with ear, nose, throat, and related head and neck conditions
    • Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans in coordination with the supervising ENT physician
    • Assist with minor procedures and post-operative follow-up visits
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient education efforts
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR

    • Active Colorado license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
    • Certification through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as an NP or PA required
    • Prior experience in ENT, surgical, or procedural specialty preferred but not required
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

    Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (full-time)

    HRRMC is seeking a compassionate, team-minded Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ANP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Internal Medicine clinic. This role is primarily adult, outpatient primary care with a focus on chronic disease care, preventive services and timely access for acute needs. We welcome both experienced APPs and well-prepared new graduates who are eager to grow in a supportive environment.

    • Provide comprehensive adult primary care: Histories/physicals, chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, HTN, COPD, CKD), preventive care and acute visits
    • Coordinate transitions of care (hospital/ED follow-ups)
    • Perform common clinic procedures within scope and training (e.g., joint injections, simple dermatologic procedures, EKG interpretation)
    • Document accurately and close charts in a timely manner; practice evidence-based medicine and patient-centered communication
    • Participate in clinic quality/process-improvement efforts and team meetings

    • MSN/NP (FNP or Adult/Gero) or graduate of an accredited PA program.
    • Licensure/Certifications: Eligible for Colorado licensure; national certification (AANP/ANCC or NCCPA); prescriptive authority/DEA (or eligibility); BLS required (ACLS preferred).
    • Internal Medicine/Primary Care experience preferred; new graduates with strong adult health training are encouraged to apply.
    • Skills: Excellent clinical reasoning, team communication and patient education; comfort balancing independence with collaboration.

    Orthopedics Hand-Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (full-time)

    HRRMC is seeking an experienced or highly motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Orthopedic and Sports Medicine team, supporting a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Hand Surgeon. This position is primarily clinic-based, focusing on evaluation, treatment and management of patients with hand and upper extremity conditions.

    This is a full-time position based in Salida or Buena Vista, Colorado. The role will primarily focus on outpatient clinic responsibilities. No OR time will be required, nor call expectations for this role.

    • Conduct patient evaluations, follow-ups and post-operative visits in collaboration with the supervising hand surgeon
    • Manage acute and chronic upper extremity conditions, splinting and injection procedures
    • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including imaging and labs
    • Coordinate patient care across therapy, imaging and surgical services
    • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding diagnosis and treatment plans
    • Maintain accurate, timely documentation

    • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
    • Current or eligible Colorado NP or PA license and board certification
    • Orthopedic experience preferred; hand and upper extremity experience strongly valued

    Radiologist

    Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly-skilled and dedicated Radiologist to join our dynamic healthcare team as an employee, independent or partner.

    Practice information

    • The ideal candidate will have a broad skillset, as all modalities and study types are required, including PET and mammography (re-certification possible). Must be comfortable with "light IR," including primarily biopsies, arthrograms and drainages. No vascular work.
    • This position provides the rewards of a community-based practice, including patient interaction, and collaborative care with the medical community.
    • Can be a hybrid, part time in-house and part time remote working environment. If partnership is desired, 26 weeks of vacation. Approximately 12,000 total cases per radiologist, per year. Total RVU approximately 8,000. 90-100 cases per day, including 2-3 procedures.
    • Working hours: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. No call. Tele-radiology provides night and weekend reads. If partnership is desired, may occasionally require evening work.
    • Income, vacation and benefits are flexible and negotiable with multiple options available, including:
    • 50/50 partnership position with 26 weeks of vacation and hybrid remove/in-house coverage
