HRRMC Hospital front entrance to close temporarily for construction starting Mar. 7

SALIDA, Colo.— Starting Sat., March 7, Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center’s front entrance of the hospital – including the carport circle where patients can be picked up and dropped off – will be closed for construction. This closure is expected to last an estimated 5-6 months.

With the front entrance closed, there will be three entrance/exit options available for patients and visitors: the Emergency Department entrance on the northeast end of the hospital building, as well as the front and back entrances of the adjoining Outpatient Pavilion.

Parking on campus will be more limited due to construction. There will be signage on campus directing patients accordingly, and we ask that those driving be vigilant, and observe and follow traffic patterns and signs to ensure minimal vehicular traffic and bottlenecking. We do ask patients to arrive 10-15 minutes earlier than typically planned for appointments, as we anticipate slightly longer walking distances for parking and registering. There will be additional parking available for patients and visitors in the parking lot across Rush Drive on the far (south) side of the Antero Pavilion, located at 910 Rush Drive.

For patients requiring assistance, cannot walk longer distances or are being dropped off/picked up for services, there will be designated areas to do so near the Emergency Department entrance, and the back entrance of the Outpatient Pavilion.

The main registration desk for hospital services – such as imaging, laboratory and family birthing center services - is being temporarily relocated to the atrium of the hospital. Patients will again need to observe posted signage and monitors stating where they need to go in order to register for their appointments or walk-in services. Additionally, HRRMC will have Guest Services Concierges posted at each entrance to help direct patients accordingly from Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

All services located in the Outpatient Pavilion will not change and patients can register as usual.

These updates are subject to change as construction evolves.

We appreciate our community’s flexibility during this time. Please visit hrrmc.com/contact-us for specific parking and registration directions and instructions during construction.
