HRRMC welcomes general surgeon Stefan Iverson to medical staff
SALIDA, Colo.—Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) is pleased to welcome Stefan S. Iverson, D.O., to HRRMC’s medical staff.
Dr. Iverson – a general/trauma surgeon - will be seeing patients full-time in the general surgery clinic, located in the Outpatient Pavilion at 1000 Rush Drive in Salida.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY, Dr. Iverson earned his medical degree from Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, KY. He went on to complete his general surgery residency at HCA HealthOne Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, CO, the final year of which he was chief resident, also receiving his Intuitive Robotic Training certificate. He has also volunteered in medical and surgical missions internationally.
Dr. Iverson has experience in a broad range of surgical procedures, with a particular emphasis on minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical techniques.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their Berne doodle, Lany. You can find him on the nearest golf course, pickle ball court, or fishing on the river.
