HRRMC Hosts Open House for Four New Physicians

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is holding an open house for four new physicians on its medical staff, Thursday, June 16, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., in the hospital atrium near the main entrance. Everyone is invited to attend.

Christopher Gallus, D.O., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in disorders of the spine. Dr. Gallus earned his osteopathic medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also completed his residency and served as the administrative chief resident. He obtained his fellowship training in adult reconstructive spine surgery at New England Baptist Hospital/Tuft's University School of Medicine in Boston. Dr. Gallus is with Precision Spine Center, based in Centennial, Colorado, and sees patients at the HRRMC Medical Clinics in Salida.

James Leek, M.D., is a pain management physician who sees patients at the HRRMC Medical Clinics in Salida. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology and a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, both from the University of Wisconsin and is a registered pharmacist. Dr. Leek received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and completed his residency in anesthesiology with extensive pain management training at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Before relocating to Chaffee County, Dr. Leek practiced with Advanced Pain Management in Greenfield, Wisconsin, one of the largest pain management groups in the U.S.

Terri Rosenbaum, M.D., is a board-certified gynecologist who relocated to Salida from Boulder, where she had practiced since 2001 and prior to that practiced for 15 years in Hawaii. She earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Colorado. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Rosenbaum sees gynecology and gynecologic surgery patients at the HRRMC Medical Clinics in Salida and the HRRMC Buena Vista Health Center.

William Schroeder, D.O., is board-certified in internal medicine and completed a fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona School of Medicine under Dr. Andrew Weil. Dr. Schroeder earned his osteopathic medical degree from Des Moines University. He completed an internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, and a second residency in internal medicine at Spokane Internal Medicine in Spokane, Washington. Dr. Schroeder relocated to the Upper Arkansas Valley from Woodland Park, Colorado, where he had a private practice for 16 years. He sees patients at the HRRMC Specialty Clinic in the hospital and the HRRMC Buena Vista Health Center.
