About Jessie

Jessie Wilburn comes from an eclectic educational background that began with undergraduate degrees in finance and physics with an early career in Investment Banking before her passion for the outdoors spurred a desire to focus on human health. Prior to a transition to medicine, she completed a Masters degree and doctoral research in the fields of exercise physiology and nutrition biochemistry at Colorado State University.

She is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a certificate of added qualifications (CAQ) in Emergency Medicine. She practiced Emergency Medicine for 5 years in Minnesota before making the transition to pain medicine.

Jessie maintains a keen interest in the intersection of physical activity and nutrition on human health. She is active with the Wilderness Medicine Society and also carries a strong passion for Wilderness Medicine.

In her free time, she is an avid runner, cyclist, skier, and climber. She spends much of her free time exploring the outdoor world with her partner and their two dogs.
