About Jennifer

Dr. Jennifer Wentz is a doctor of podiatric medicine and a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon. A Salida native, she returned to her hometown to practice medicine after pursuing her education.

She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. She then completed a three-year residency in foot and ankle surgery at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, based at a Level I trauma center in Roanoke, Va.

She pursued an additional year of advanced training through the Virginia Foot and Ankle Fellowship in Richmond, Va. Her fellowship focused on advanced techniques in trauma surgery, arthroscopic ankle surgery, total ankle replacement, wound care and limb preservation.

Dr. Wentz sees patients at the HRRMC Buena Vista Health Center. She is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association. She enjoys traveling, skiing, fly fishing, hiking, and spending time with her two dachshunds.
