HRRMC welcomes Physician Assistant Jessie Wilburn to Pain Management clinic
SALIDA, Colo.—Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) happily welcomed board-certified physician assistant Jessie Wilburn, PA-C, to HRRMC’s medical staff in January.
Wilburn will be seeing patients full-time in the HRRMC Pain Management Clinic, located on the third floor of the Outpatient Pavilion at 1000 Rush Drive in Salida.
Wilburn comes from an eclectic educational background, which began with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University. Early in her career, Wilburn focused on investment banking before her passion for the outdoors spurred a desire to focus on human health. She completed a Master’s degree in Nutrition Science and Exercise Physiology from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, and went on to receive her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University in Manchester, NH.
In addition to her Physician Assistant degree, Wilburn has a fellowship in Emergency Medicine from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and practiced in the emergency medicine field for five years before transitioning to pain medicine. She maintains a keen interest in the intersection of physical activity and nutrition on human health. She is active within the Wilderness Medicine Society and also carries a strong passion for Wilderness Medicine.
