HRRMC offers free childbirth and breastfeeding classes in 2023
SALIDA, Colo.—HRRMC’s Family Birthing Center is offering two types of free classes for expecting parents in 2023: Childbirth Class and Breastfeeding Basics. Classes will be held in the hospital’s second-floor conference rooms, 1000 Rush Dr., Salida and take place throughout the year.
In childbirth class, class instructors will provide information about childbirth, comfort measures, interventions and breastfeeding, with time for a Q&A session. Participants should wear comfortable clothing. The first childbirth class takes place on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
In breastfeeding basics class, certified lactation consultants (CLC) will teach class, with the first class taking place on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 1 – 2:30 p.m. Light snacks are provided. Participants are welcome to bring lunch or eat in the hospital’s café.
