About Brandon

Dr. Bentz was born in Nürnberg, Germany while his father, a military officer, was stationed there. After spending his first two years of life in Europe, Dr. Bentz returned to the U.S. and lived for most of his life in Pittsburgh, PA.

Subsequently, Bentz completed his undergraduate and medical school training in his hometown of Pittsburgh, until going to Chicago and New York for advanced training. After New York, Bentz was recruited by the University of Utah to develop the Head & Neck Oncology group and to start a Head & Neck Oncology research program.

While at the University of Utah, he achieved a tenured Associate Professorship, and was the Chief of the Otolaryngology service at the Salt Lake City Veterans Administration hospital. Bentz also served on a number of committees in various organizations related to Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and cancers in general. After leaving the University of Utah, Bentz became the head of Otolaryngology for a regional medical center in Northern California, and then in Washington state prior to relocating to central Colorado.

In the community, Dr. Bentz is involved with the local Rotary, local outdoor events and activities, as well as recently being appointed to the board of directors for a non-profit organization focused on helping the youth of Thailand. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, running, biking, camping, fly fishing, and scuba diving. He has three wonderful boys - his eldest son, and twins - who are his entire life.
