HRRMC walking trail closed until June

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center announced today that a portion of the walking trail around the perimeter of the hospital campus will be closed until mid-June. The closure is a result of construction traffic and potential safety hazards related to the ongoing construction on the west side of the campus.

The hospital is adding two parking lots for employees on the west side. This addition will reduce congestion and allow for convenient parking for patients and visitors in the lots near the front of the hospital.

Another factor in the closure is the rerouting of County Road 154. HRRMC is constructing a new road to make accessibility from Highway 291 to the hospital campus and employee parking lots safer. The road will provide a separate entrance for future services located west of the hospital, allow staff and service vehicles to access the campus from the west, and keep the hospital’s main driveway from becoming overly congested.
