Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is partnering with Mount Princeton
Hot Springs Resort to
offer a three-day, all-inclusive wellness retreat at the Nathrop resort
from June 6-8.
The retreat offers educational sessions on topics such as stress management.
It also includes a healthy cooking class, daily meditation, group counseling,
tai chi and hiking. Participants will have access to the pools, spa services,
mountain bike rentals, and fitness classes.
“When healthy behaviors are sprinkled into your life as something
extra to do, real change is challenging. But when you have an intensive,
lifestyle-change experience, research has shown that real change can be
made that is long-lasting,” said HRRMC Wellness Manager Jon Fritz.
“That is why we are offering this retreat.”
HRRMC instructors include certified exercise physiologist Jon Fritz; registered
dietitian nutritionist Devon Moughan-Phillips; integrative-medicine physician
and internist William Schroeder, D.O.; and interventional cardiologist
James Schmidt, M.D.
