HRRMC Health Fair preregistration is April 10

Preregistration for the low-cost screenings at the HRRMC Health Fair is available on Tuesday, April 10, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the atrium lobby at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center, 1000 Rush Dr., Salida.

The HRRMC Health Fair will be held Saturday, April 21, 7 to 11 a.m., at the hospital’s main campus. Anyone 18 and older may participate in the fair’s low-cost and free health screenings.

Participants may also preregister online for the HRRMC Health Fair. To preregister online, go to www.hrrmc.com and click on the HRRMC Health Fair button on the home page. Preregistration is not required, but will save participants the time required to register on the day of the fair.

Early-draw appointments are available at the hospital the week leading up to the HRRMC Health Fair. These 10-minute appointments enable participants to skip the health fair lines for the blood draw. Appointments are being scheduled April 16 - 20, between 6:30 - 9 a.m.

Participants may schedule their early-draw appointment at the hospital preregistration or request an early-draw appointment online.

The HRRMC Health Fair offers seven basic low-cost screenings including blood chemistry ($35), B12/folate panel ($35), PSA ($30), hemoglobin Alc ($30), blood count ($20), vitamin D ($45), and testosterone ($45). Instead of sending the lab tests to an outside laboratory, the lab tests are performed locally at HRRMC, and the proceeds are reinvested in Wellness U, the hospital’s community wellness program.

Free screenings available on the day of the health fair include diabetes risk, chiropractic, oral, body composition, cardiopulmonary, skin, postural, nutrition, mental well-being, vision and more. Participants may preregister for an early-draw appointment and avoid the lines, then come the day of the fair to take advantage of the free screenings.

Attending the HRRMC Health Fair does not replace a regular checkup with your physician, and participants are advised to make an appointment with their primary care provider to interpret test results. For questions about the Health Fair, contact Jon Fritz at (719) 530-2057 or visit hrrmc.com.
