Salida, Colorado-Preregistration for the low-cost screenings at the HRRMC Health Fair is
available on Wednesday, April 5, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the atrium lobby
at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center, 1000 Rush Dr., Salida.
The HRRMC Health Fair will be held Saturday, April 22, 6:30-11 a.m., at
the hospital's main campus. Anyone 18 and older may participate in
the fair's low-cost and free health screenings.
Participants may also preregister for the HRRMC Health Fair online with
Visa, MasterCard or Discover. To preregister online, go to www.hrrmc.com
and click on the green HRRMC Health Fair button on the bottom of the home page.
Preregistration is not required, but will save participants the time required
to register on the day of the fair.
Early-draw appointments are available at the hospital the week leading
up to the HRRMC Health Fair. These appointments enable participants to
skip the health fair lines for the blood draw. Appointments are being
scheduled April 17-21, between 6-9 a.m.
Participants may schedule their early-draw appointment at the hospital
preregistration or request an early-draw appointment online.
The HRRMC Health Fair offers six basic low-cost screenings including blood
chemistry ($35), PSA ($30), hemoglobin Alc ($30), blood count ($20), vitamin
D ($45), and testosterone ($45). Instead of sending the lab tests to an
outside laboratory, the lab tests are performed locally at HRRMC, and
the proceeds are reinvested in Wellness U, the hospital's community
wellness program.
Free screenings available on the day of the health fair include prediabetes,
chiropractic, body composition, blood pressure, pulmonary, skin, postural,
nutrition, and more. Participants may preregister for an early-draw appointment
and avoid the lines, then come the day of the fair to take advantage of
the free screenings.
Attending the HRRMC Health Fair does not replace a regular checkup with
your physician, and participants are advised to make an appointment with
their primary care provider to interpret test results. For questions about
the Health Fair, contact Jon Fritz at (719) 530-2057 or visit hrrmc.com.
