SALIDA, Colo.-The HRRMC Buena Vista Health Center is expanding services by adding a
fourth family medicine physician. Craig Otteni, M.D., will begin seeing
patients at the hospital's Buena Vista clinic, 28374 County Road 317,
on Monday, July 18. He will be the clinic's seventh primary care provider,
joining Drs. Tom White, Amy Varble and Gina Alkes, and family nurse practitioners
Jan Ommen, Linda Typer and John Daugherty.
"Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center continues to increase
access to primary care in our hospital district by employing more family
medicine physicians," said hospital CEO Bob Morasko. "Dr. Otteni
will provide patients in our service area with another opportunity to
have care locally."
Dr. Otteni earned his medical degree from the Warren Alpert Medical School
of Brown University and completed his residency through the University
of Pittsburgh Medical Center's (UPMC) St. Margaret Family Medicine
Residency Program. He has a special interest in sports medicine.
Dr. Otteni is relocating to the Upper Arkansas Valley from Pennsylvania
