Chemotherapy
HRRMC’s Infusion Clinic offers chemotherapy, blood transfusions and intravenous medications in a comfortable atmosphere.

Before joining HRRMC, our oncologist, Adam Myers, M.D., practiced at Denver Health Medical Center, where he served as chief of the hematology/medical oncology division, department of medicine, from 1974-2005.

The registered nurses who work in this area are highly skilled, with specialized clinical skills and training. Their goal is to work as a team member with patients, families and physicians to provide the highest level of care for patients close to home.

Gastro-Intestinal Treatment
Gastro-Intestinal Treatment stops bleeding caused by ulcers, colon polyps, or blood vessel tumors by using sophisticated, non-electrical heat technology. We can also remove small lesions from the upper and lower gastro-intestinal tract and pre-cancerous polyps from the colon.

Intensive Care Unit
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Our intensive care unit is well equipped so that we can care for medical-surgical patients who require the highest level of concentrated care.

Lithotripsy
Lithotripsy is a non-surgical treatment for kidney stones. Lithotripsy uses pressure-enhanced shock waves to safely break kidney stones into tiny fragments that can be passed in the urine. The shock waves are quick, minor jolts that feel like a series of thumps. Although not necessary, sedatives may be used and anesthesia rarely used. The whole procedure lasts 60-90 minutes.

Transurethral Microwave Therapy
Transurethral Microwave Therapy (TUMT) is new medical technology that treats enlarged prostates or benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). The Prostatron (R) is the piece of equipment used at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. It is a non-surgical procedure that directs microwave heat at the excess prostate tissue which obstructs urine flow. It is a one-hour outpatient procedure.
