Children exhibit clown faces at HRRMC

March 30, 2012

Salida, Colorado - Vibrant clown faces created by kindergarteners from Longfellow Elementary School in Salida are on display at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center through the end of May. The artwork is hung near the entrance to the Emergency Department.

Donna Wagle, the elementary art instructor, discussed the many faces of clowns with the children before the project began. One student even included his wish for patients, "I hope you git bedr," on his clown collage.

Showcasing the artwork of local children is part of the hospital's mission to create a healing environment. For more information about art exhibits at HRRMC, contact Marji Ackermann at 530-2217.
