What to Give

Through the generosity of our friends, employees, grateful patients and families, the HRRMC Foundation is able to respond to our community's health needs through innovative and state-of-the-art programs and services. As with any donation, the donor can specify how the donation is to be used, targeting your gift to a specific program or directing the dollars for unrestricted use.

Cash (includes checks and/or credit card donations)

HRRMC Foundation accepts cash donations in any amount, at any time. If you would like to make a donation by check, simply print this donation form and mail it in with your check. Or you can also make a secure online donation now.

Gifts of Stocks

Gifts of stock (or other appreciated property) entitle you to a tax deduction for the market value of the donated stock. If the stock you wish to donate has been held for more than one year, you can avoid capital gains tax on any appreciation of the stock by donating the stock prior to the sale. The HRRMC Foundation benefits by selling the stock without paying taxes on the gain, and you benefit from making a contribution that would be larger than what you might have been able to donate in cash.

Gifts of Real Estate

Various forms of real estate, including primary residences, vacation homes, farms, undeveloped land, and commercial property, can be donated to HRRMC Foundation.

If you have owned the property for longer than one year, you are entitled to a charitable deduction to the full fair market value of the property. Donating the property to the HRRMC Foundation also allows you to avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciation.

Bequests in your Will

Some donors find that the best way they can help the HRRMC Foundation is by making a bequest in their will. There are three different kinds of bequests:
     1. Specific Bequest
You designate a particular property (such as shares of stock), dollar amount, or percentage of your estate to be transferred to the HRRMC Foundation.
     2. Residual Bequest
You designate all or a portion of your remaining (residuary) estate to be transferred to the HRRMC Foundation, only after
all other beneficiaries (including debts, taxes, and other expenses) have been paid.
     3. Contingent Bequest
You designate all or a portion of your estate to be transferred to the HRRMC Foundation only if a named beneficiary
        predeceases you.

Charitable Gift Annuities

Charitable Gift Annuities (CGAs) are life income gifts: you transfer assets now, receiving a charitable deduction for a portion of the transfer, and you or a beneficiary receives income for the rest of your life or a fixed period of time. Both the HRRMC Foundation and you can benefit from life income gifts.
