Ways to Give


Each charitable donation to HRRMC Foundation has the tremendous power of creating legends. People can truly do extraordinary things and every donation the HRRMC Foundation receives translates into meaningful health care services and programs benefiting the residents of the Upper Arkansas Valley. Few giving opportunities have a broader reach or more significant impact on our community than a gift to the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Foundation. At the HRRMC Foundation, we value each donor's wishes and offer a variety of programs to support.

Enterprise Zone Tax Credits
There are Income Tax advantages when you give to the HRRMC Foundation. HRRMC Foundation is an Enterprise Zone contribution project which allows a 25% Colorado state tax deduction on all cash donations (in the amount equal to or greater than $100 per donation, per quarter) from individuals and businesses when the contributor pays state tax with an itemized tax return.

What is the Enterprise Zone Program?
An Act passed by the state legislature to provide tax incentives to individuals and businesses that donate to qualified and designated enterprise zone projects.

A program allowing an individual or business taxpayer to a make a donation in the amount equal to or greater than $100 per donation, per quarter and receive 25% of the value of the donation as a tax credit. The maximum credit per year per individual or business is $100,000. The tax credit may be carried forward up to five (5) years.

A state tax credit that may provide an additional tax reduction that accompanies the reduction of taxable income when state tax return deductions and credits are itemized.

General Donations:
HRRMC Foundation welcomes general, outright donations to the HRRMC Foundation at any time. These donations will be used in the area of greatest need. You may designate your donation to be applied to that specific project or program.<

Walk into the lobby of Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center and you will certainly be drawn to the display of the outstanding support of our donors. A fabulous donor recognition wall mosaic represents our commitment to the people living in the Upper Arkansas Valley.

Through financial support, HRRMC is able to expand and develop innovative and state-of-the-art programs and services that offer the highest quality care to people visiting and/or living in the Upper Arkansas Valley. Gifts of Memorials and Tributes:
Monumental occasions are opportunities to remember a special friend, the birth of a child, a wedding anniversary, a notable achievement, or to express sympathy and remembrance for the loss of a loved one. HRRMC Foundation accepts gifts of remembrance at any time to honor any special person, event or occasion.

Angel of Honor:
Make a donation in honor of a physician, nurse, housekeeper, or caregiver who provided excellent care. A donation to the Angel of Honor program evolved from Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center's commitment to provide sensitive and compassionate care of patients and their families. This commitment involves effective communication, expression of compassion and empathy, as well as awareness of and sensitivity to how these factors impact the well-being of patients and their families.

Unrestricted Donations:
Unrestricted donations support the area of greatest need, as directed by the Foundation and the Board of Directors. Theses types of donations make it possible for HRRMC Foundation to have flexibility to meet special or upcoming needs.

Designated Donations:
Designated donations support specific projects and programs, including the new Breast Care Program (Digital Mammography).

Planned Gifts/Bequests:
Planned gifts support the HRRMC Foundation through a bequest in a will, a charitable or revocable trust, life insurance, stocks or real estate. Planned gifts are specific to include set dollar amounts, a percentage of the estate or a certain remainder of the estate after others are provided for or a certain asset belonging to the estate.

Corporate (Business) Giving:
As an anchor tenant in Chaffee County, Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is a state-of-the-art facility with an unshakable dedication to the local community. Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center's rich history and connection with the community is one of the cornerstones of the hospital's success. Corporate giving is a key component of a healthy and viable community, and it is a longstanding tradition at HRRMC. A strong cultural community in turn strengthens the business community.

HRRMC Foundation offers a wide variety of corporate giving opportunities. Cash donations made in the company name, sponsoring a fundraising event or offering an employee matching donation program are examples of cash based donations. In-kind support such as the donation of equipment, the use of corporate facilities, printing or design services, or access to staff expertise are common forms of corporate giving as well.

Every charitable donation to HRRMC Foundation is of value -it is a testament to your commitment in helping to provide quality health care throughout the Upper Arkansas Valley.
