Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is here to work with you on
balances due after insurance and/or if you do not currently have insurance.
We can set up internal payment plans with reasonable monthly payments
depending on your balance. Review our
financial assistance policy for more information.
Insurance Application Assistance
We are able to provide application assistance with the health insurance
options at Connect for Health Colorado. We can also assist with the application
process for Health First Colorado (Colorado Medicaid) and the state CICP program.
If possible, we will attempt to handle all interaction with your insurance
provider on your behalf, provided that is what you’d prefer. Please
be aware that this is not always possible, and the insurance company may
require a response from you to address certain issues. Sixty (60) days
after billing, if the insurance company has remained uncooperative, the
bill may become your responsibility, at which point you may want to consult
with an attorney.
HRRMC has created a brochure "Understanding Your Hospital Bill"
to answer your questions about hospital billing and clarify who may send
you a bill and how to contact them. Please

When Your Health-Insurance Carrier Says No
Any time your health-insurance carrier denies benefits for covered services
that you and your health care provider feel are medically necessary or
have medical evidence proving that the services aren't subject to
a contractual exclusion, you have the right to challenge that decision.
