HRRMC and Mt. Princeton offer all-inclusive wellness retreat

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is partnering with Mount Princeton HoMt. Princeton resortt Springs Resort to offer a six-day, all-inclusive wellness retreat at the Nathrop resort from Jan. 21-26.

The retreat offers educational sessions on topics such as healthy food preparation and stress management. It also includes daily meditation, group counseling and outdoor physical activity. Participants will have access to the pools, spa services, mountain bike rentals, and fitness classes. Other activities like fly fishing and 4x4 tours will be available.

“When healthy behaviors are sprinkled into your life as something extra to do, real change is challenging. But when you have an intensive, lifestyle-change week, research has shown that real change can be made that is long-lasting,” said HRRMC Wellness Supervisor Jon Fritz. “That is why we are offering this retreat.”

HRRMC instructors include certified exercise physiologist Jon Fritz; integrative medicine physician William Schroeder, D.O.; registered dietitian nutritionist Devon Moughan-Phillips; medical oncologist Francene Mason, M.D.; and cardiologist James Schmidt, M.D. Local mindfulness meditation instructor and licensed massage therapist Denise Ackert will also lead group sessions.
